Zusammenfassung:The basics of two domain decomposition methods based on the surface equivalence principle and the method of moments, namely, the surface tangential equivalence principle (TEPA) and the linear embedding via Green’s operators (LEGO), are outlined to solve electromagnetic scattering problems. In order to efficiently solve large problems, the methods are combined with the characteristic basis function method and the eigencurrent expansion method. Numerical examples demonstrate that the developed hybrid techniques lead to a significant reduction on the number of degrees of freedom and the size of the matrix equation to be solved.
