Zusammenfassung:Theoretical framework: Volumetric models are a crucial tool for forest management, as they use them to estimate the total volume of the forest.   Objective: The study aimed to adjust a volumetric model to estimate commercial volume in a dense rainforest located in the municipality of Ferreira Gomes AP, Brazil.   Method: Cubing data from 103 sample trees, from 5 species, were used to adjust 7 volumetric models, 5 of which were linear and 2 were non-linear.   Results and discussion: After analysis, it was found that all models presented a good fit to the data, however the non-linear models presented the best statistics. Finally, the Schumacher and Hall model generated the best equation for estimating commercial volume in the Amapá national forest.   Implications of the research: There is a general equation to estimate the volume of commercial species in the Amapá national forest.   Originality/Value: Volume equations are essential for management plans in Amazonia, therefore, this is the first equation available for volume estimation in the Amapá national forest.
