Zusammenfassung: | Research on the effect of alkaline concentration and temperature for structure, magnetism, and surface area of Fe3O4 by the co-precipitation method has been carried out. The alkali used was NaOH were varied concentrations of 1.0 M, 2.0 M, and 3.0 M, while the temperature variations included 30oC, 45oC, and 60oC. The Fe3O4 was characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), and surface area by adsorption using the methylene blue method. The diffractogram of Fe3O4 at various concentrations and temperatures showed that 2θ of Fe3O4 was similar, but the peak intensity was different. The highest crystallinity, saturation magnetization and surface area was shown at Fe3O4 that synthesized with 1.0 M NaOH and a temperature of 45°C. The saturation magnetization and surface area of Fe3O4 which is synthesized using NaOH 3.0 M concentration and a temperature of 60°C of 83.14 emu/g and 28.8 m2/g, respectively. |
