Zusammenfassung:This article compares the performance of U and coil-shaped fiber optic sensors for the detection of fluoride in water. Low-cost and simple-to-use U-shape and coil-shape evanescent wave fiber optic sensors have been designed and developed for in-situ detection of fluoride in water. The sensitivities of coil and U-shaped sensors are found to be 0.1418 O.D./ppm and 0.1409 O.D./ppm, respectively, with linear regression coefficients (R 2 ) of 98.25% and 98.20%.
