Zusammenfassung:This paper explores the implementation of a solenoid field to achieve electron beam focusing and compensation of transverse emittance, which is generated from photocathode RF gun. An extensive investigation was conducted to determine the optimal solenoid magnetic field required for focusing an electron bunch with a charge of 0.5 nC. A magnetic field strength of 0.25 T was chosen for emittance compensation, enabling the reduction of emittance to below 1.20 mm-mrad at the end of linac. The engineering design of the solenoid magnet for this system is presented in detail, ensuring precise dimensional tolerances within the range of ±30 µm. To ensure its effectiveness and reliability, extensive thermal and mechanical analyses were conducted. Currently, the prototype solenoid magnet is in the fabrication process.
