Cluster-modular development of the great NSR along the route Norway - Vladivostok - Korean Peninsula when transporting 20-foot railway containers

The article discusses the prospects for development of a new project of the Great Northern Sea Route (GNSR). An analysis of the cargo turnover and the advantages of the GNSR is carried out. The importance of the nuclear icebreaker fleet in development of the GNSR has been determined and specified. This path is one of the Russian national projects. As an international transit route, the Great Northern Sea Route has a huge potential for international cooperation and development of the north and east of Russia. The cluster-modular approach in the organization of GNSR is considered. The number of containers in 2021 shall double at Russian Railways.
