Analysis of research methods of wires heating processes and options of execution of thermal protections of the contact network

The article analyzes the methods for calculating, modeling and experimental studies of thermal processes in the wires of the contact network in normal, overload and emergency operating modes of the contact network. Options of execution of thermal protections of a contact network are considered. The analysis of design features of the considered thermal protections is carried out. The main directions for the further development of methods for calculating and modeling thermal processes in the wires of the contact network, as well as the improvement and development of new versions of the thermal protection of the contact network, are determined.
