Zusammenfassung:Abbreviated Maxwell equations are used to study the formation of shock waves in a nonlinear medium containing carbon nanotubes of the semiconductor type. A classical nonlinear medium with cubic nonlinearity and dispersion is considered. It is established that introducing carbon nanotubes stabilizes an ultrashort optical pulse and prevents the formation of shock waves. However, the pulse remains localized.
