Zusammenfassung:Medium-entropy alloys (MEA) have excellent mechanical properties and are extremely suitable for applications such as aerospace. However, almost all high- and medium-entropy alloys decrease in strength and ductility at high temperatures. As one of the alternative materials for turbine blades of aircraft engines, high/medium entropy alloys are inevitably subjected to coupling effects of high temperature and high strain rates during service. The present work focuses on improving the mechanical properties of MEAs and briefly describes the mechanical properties at high temperatures and high strain rates. Meanwhile, it integrates literature regarding the methods, including adding high melting point solutes, nanocrystalline MEA and non-isoatomic MEA, to improve the mechanical properties at high temperatures and high strain rates. Finally, we propose the potential research direction and possible problems medium entropy alloys may face in the future.
