Some Features of Trichlorobifenil Photolysis

The photolytic decomposition of the Trichlorobifenil mixture, 2,4,5- and 2,4,6-trichlorobiphenyls, has been studied under the influence of ultraviolet radiation in the presence of tungsten oxide as a catalyst in methanol. We have revealed a higher photolysis rate of individual polychlorobiphenyl con...

Zusammenfassung:The photolytic decomposition of the Trichlorobifenil mixture, 2,4,5- and 2,4,6-trichlorobiphenyls, has been studied under the influence of ultraviolet radiation in the presence of tungsten oxide as a catalyst in methanol. We have revealed a higher photolysis rate of individual polychlorobiphenyl congeners than that of the Trichlorobifenil mixture. The influence of structural features of polychloroarenes on the depth of photodecomposition and routes of the formation of photodestruction products has been considered.
