Zusammenfassung:In this article, four associate editors reflect on their experience overseeing the review of articles in Qualitative Psychology (QP). The article describes the role of associate editor and discusses the commitments and goals that have influenced our work while serving in this position. We consider common challenges that authors face when publishing qualitative research and offer tips for authors in preparing manuscripts. Tips include reminding authors to center methodological contributions and recommendations in their writing, to utilize the assumptions and language of qualitative inquiry, to develop meaningful labels or titles for findings, and to meet qualitative reporting standards. As well, we point to future issues that are yet to be resolved in the field and that will be important for the continued growth of these methods, such as the scope of qualitative research and cautions about the use of open science for qualitative methods. This article is helpful for authors who are conducting qualitative research or who are interested in publishing qualitative research articles and would like to strengthen their manuscripts.
