Zusammenfassung: | This paper examines the impacts of social media addiction (SMA)on emotional instability and the academic performance of young adults. Social media has become a major tool that has influenced the academic abilities of young adults, both positively and negatively. Social media addictionis associated with emotional instability in young adults, which affects their academic performance. A convenience sampling technique was used, and 57 questionnaires were completed and returned. Of the 57 questionnaires, only 53 were usable with valid responses. A correlation and regression analysis showed a negative correlation between social media addiction, emotional instability, and the academic performance of young adults.
