Zusammenfassung:one of the most common type of polymer that are used to manufacturing dentures base is poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA, have been widely applied in the fields of medicine and especially dental field, this is due to good medicinal properties. This research paper includes a study of some physical and mechanical properties of PMMA before and after adding cumin seed powder at four different percentage weight percentage (0.5, 1, 2, and 3wt.%). The particle size of cumin seed powder is (≥ 75 µm). The results showed that the values of impact and flexural strength developed with (2%) of cumin, while the compressive, hardness, thermal conductivity and density values were augmented with the increasing the weight friction of seed in PMMA, and the peak values were reached at the weight friction (3%). This was obvious in the SEM images and FTIR. It was concluded that cumin as a bio material can improve mechanical and physical properties if it is added to synthetic polymers, especially dentures base PMMA.
