Zusammenfassung: | Fiber reinforced polymer composites (FRP) finds its application in the field of all Engineering domain to replace conventional materials like iron and iron alloys due to the following advantages more strength to weight ratio, excellent resistance to bend, less production cost and resistance to nonoxide formation.FRP composites has polymer as matrix i.e. Epoxy Vinyl Ester and Polyester and artificial fibers as reinforcements i.e. glass fiber, basalt fiber and carbon fiber. Mechanical properties are analysed for resins reinforced with carbon fibre, glass fibre, and basalt fibre made from Epoxy, Vinyl Ester, and Polyester. When compared to Epoxy and Polyester composites, Vinyl Ester is found to be the superior material in terms of tensile strength, compressive strength, flexural strength, impact strength, and hardness.SEM image is analyzed in the analysis Vinyl Ester composites have better bonding between matrix and reinforcements. The following FRP composites has obtained good mechanical characteristics in the analysis. Good mechanical strength is obtained in Vinyl Ester polymer reinforced with basalt fiber and glass fiber reinforcement’s with 1:1 ratio Artificial polymer FRP composites Epoxy reinforced with glass fiber and carbon fiber has shown good mechanical properties. Polyester polymer reinforced with basalt fiber and carbon fiber has shown good mechanical strength. |
