Monitoring of Energy consumption using IoT based energy metering system

This paper introduces a system which allowss to monitor energy meter readings through a platform called “Thingspeak” thus can control the energy consumption. This allows to monitor energy consumption at any time and can keep tracking of energy consumption on daily basis. In order to achieve this used the ATmega328 micro controller and ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. It does not replace the energy meter but simply associated this system with the existing installed energy meter. The heart of this project is “Internet Of Things(IOT)”. The data from energy meter is fetched continuously and is uploaded in “Thingspeak” cloud.
