Zusammenfassung:Exposure to heavy metals has risen recently as a consequence of increasing pollution from industry and the environment. The foetus is especially sensitive to the impacts of heavy metals owing to the quickness with which cells proliferate and differentiate. Despite the fact that birth weight and length are crucial markers of a child's survival and future development, morbidity, and cognitive aptitude in terms of growth, lead (Pb) exposure demands additional research. In Egypt, Pb and Hg exposures have received little attention. To see whether there was a relationship between prenatal exposures and anomalies in the infant's anthropometry, researchers evaluated perinatal Pb and Hg concentrations as well as neonatal anthropometry.
