The influence of impurities on the energy structure of electrons in lithium niobate (LiNbO
3
) crystals has been investigated. It is found that the ionization of impurities leads to the occurrence of excitons, which, decaying, create short-term thermoluminescence. When studying the thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL), the energy levels formed by excitons and impurities in the band gap of lithium niobate crystal, which affect the optical and kinetic phenomena in crystals of this compound, have been determined. |
