Analysis of multimedia-based learning media needs in citizenship education

This research aims to conduct an analysis of the needs of multimedia-based learning media on civic education subjects. The development of learning media must be adapted to the times and technology. The research methods used in this study are qualitative descriptive. Data collection using investigations and interviews with research subjects of Sriwijaya university students who have taken citizen characters education subjects. The results of this study show that civic education subjects are important subjects but tend not to be interesting because the learning media used is still conservative. Therefore, it is necessary to develop learning media in accordance with the development of technology, namely multimedia-based both audio and visual to stimulate the activeness of learners in following civic education learning.
