Zusammenfassung: | [LANGUAGE= "English"] The frequency of upper extremity peripheral artery aneurysms is much less than lower extremity peripheral artery aneurysms. In literature radial artery aneurysm is very rare and usually has a traumatic origin. In this study we aimed to investigate a case of idiopathic isolated giant radial artery aneurysm and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic (surgical) approaches in the light of the literature. Surgical therapy of radial artery aneurysm is critical because it may cause thromboembolism in the extremity which may end up with gangrene or amputation. We conclude that timely surgical therapy and routine operative repairment are crucial; we also recommend selective revascularization procedure if necessary. |
