Factors affecting osseointegration of dental implants: Design, material, surface

This article discusses the main causes of complications in the process of osseointegration of dental implants, which, among other things, are associated with the peculiarities of the Arctic zone. The main biomechanical and biocompatible factors of dental implant design, applied materials and surface conditions, which together affect the quality and strength of osseointegration, the bone-implant interface and their relationship with the long-term survival success of dental implants and restorations, are described.
