Zusammenfassung:In this paper, we present a facile arc-discharge method for synthesizing ZnO NPs decorated with Ag as a photocatalyst for degradation of methylene blue and red acid. UV spectroscopy was performed to investigate the colloidal stability and photocatalytic behavior of the resulting wurtzite NPs, indicating the degradation of 53% after 2 weeks of aging. It is also found that the prepared samples with an arc voltage of 10 V result in a degradation of 48%, whereas no degradation occurs by the prepared samples with arc voltage of 16 V.
