Zusammenfassung:Ground-level ozone presents a clear and present danger to humans, plants, and environment. However, stratospheric ozone protects life on earth from the harmful effect of ultraviolet radiation and is therefore useful. We studied the variability of monthly total column ozone, defined as the total ozone available in a column stretching from the surface of the earth to space over Nigeria from 2005 to 2017. Based on the standard deviation and variance as measures, the total column ozone was found to have longitudinal variation.
