Zusammenfassung: | The kind of Ti2AlNb alloy is hard and brittle,and the traditional cutting process has some problems of low tool durability and poor processing quality due to the high cutting heat.In this paper,a combination of cutting simulation and experimental research were conducted to study the cutting characteristics of Ti2AlNb alloy through the application of two-dimensional ultrasonic vibration cutting(Two-DUVC),threedimensional ultrasonic vibration cutting(Three-DUVC) compared to conventional cutting(CC). The results showed that the three-dimensional cutting forces in ultrasonic vibration milling were less than those in CC.The cutting forces in Two-DUVC and Three-DUVC along the tool feed direction were reduced by 48.6%and 28.3%,respectively,compared to that in CC.Three different cutting methods produced completely different surface micro-textures under the same cutting parameters.The Three-DUVC produced "wheat ears",and "wheat awns",appearing in the tool feed direction with strong ultrasonic separation characteristic |
