Zusammenfassung:Introduction: The use of herbal products to enhance sexual performance is widespread, particularly through online purchases. However, such products can pose health risks, particularly when imported and sold without Ministry of Health authorization. This study aims to investigate the consequences associated with the use of an herbal product imported from Turkey to enhance sexual performance, with a focus on pharmacovigilance and associated adverse effects. Methods: In this study, cases of adverse reactions related to the use of the herbal product were collected from pharmacovigilance reports. Data were analyzed to identify the types of adverse reactions reported, user characteristics, online purchasing patterns and health consequences associated with product use. Results: The results of the pharmacovigilance case analysis revealed a number of adverse consequences associated with the use of this herbal product to enhance sexual performance. The most frequently reported adverse effects included cardiovascular disorders, such as palpitations and high blood pressure, gastrointestinal disorders, such as nausea and diarrhea, and allergic reactions. Some serious cases were reported, including strokes and liver problems. Discussion: The importation and online sale of herbal sexual enhancement products without authorization from health authorities can lead to public health risks. These products may contain undeclared, potentially dangerous active ingredients in unknown concentrations. In addition, the lack of quality control and appropriate regulation makes it difficult to assess the safety and efficacy of these products. Conclusion: This study highlights the adverse consequences associated with the use of an herbal product imported from Turkey to enhance sexual performance and sold online without authorization from the Ministry of Health. Pharmacovigilance plays an essential role in detecting and monitoring adverse effects linked to the use of such products. It is imperative to strengthen regulations and controls to protect public health and inform consumers of the potential risks associated with the use of unauthorized products.
