Synthesis of Fluorene Derivatives Via TfOH-catalyzed Intramolecular Friedel-Crafts Alkylation Reactions

We devoloped an efficient and simple method to synthesize fluorene derivatives via intramolecular Friedel-Crafts alkylation of chalcones. The transform is catalyzed by TfOH in CH 3 NO 2 at 80 °C and the yield is up to 99%.
