Zusammenfassung:Economic development forces an increase in the need for transport services. In Poland, the dominant branch of transport is road transport, which accounts for over 85% of the weight of all transported loads. The increase in the number of delivery vehicles and trucks on the roads increases the threats to the safety of people, the environment and property. The key issue of the safety of goods transport is the proper securing of the transported cargo. The article indicates the threats resulting from improper securing of cargo. The method of testing lashing straps in various environmental conditions is presented. The obtained results confirm the existence of a relationship between humidity and mechanical and rheological properties of the belts. The obtained results will be used to build a numerical model and to simulate the behavior of lanes in changing weather and road conditions.
