The spectra are wide bands with smoothed components having maxima at 412, 435, 460, 485, 512, 547, and 585 nm. These components are caused by transitions from several vibrational levels of 4
2
Γ state of Xe
2
Cl*. The type of spectra depends on the active layer thickness; spectra change significantly in thick layers, i.e., collective effects appear in the form of absorption and amplification. |
