Zusammenfassung: | The role of resuscitation in submerging cases is not disseminated well either to the public or health workers. Management of breath-hold while diving should be understanded well. The decreasing of oxygenation into the brain and other vital organs start when dry static apnea cannot be maintained while diving. Brain is vulnerable to a lack of oxygen, in purpose to protect the brain, body performs a series physiological response while diving. Victim, a twenty four-years-old man who had been submerged in a villa’s private pool of fresh water, in Kuta Lombok. He dived underwater for 6-7 minutes unsupervisedly. He was found in blackout condition and lifted up from the water. CPR was performed by his relative, after some minutes he was transfered to two hospitals by ambulance. Primary survey was stabilized in secondary hospital before he was refered to tertiary hospital to get some comprehensif interventions. Some kind of literatures on submersion emphasized how the treatment, which is starts from Basic Life Support to Post Resuscitation Care. The objective of this case report is to provide a successful interventions of submerging and to educate the public on the importance of Basic Life Support (BLS) in saving lives and improving the victim’s outcome. |
