Zusammenfassung:We propose the incorporation of ac susceptibility measurement capability to the vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) method. By subjecting the vibrating sample to an ac magnetic field, asymmetric sidebands appear at the mixed VSM and ac frequencies. The analysis of these sidebands obtains the complex ac susceptibility, concurrently with the dc magnetization of the VSM method. We validate our method on permalloy thin-film samples.
