Zusammenfassung:This article reviews the ways the Heterocopе Borealis (Fischer, 1851) copepod invades the Krasnoyarsk reservoir and its functional role in the ecosystem of the artificial lake. All of the existing theories explaining the invasion of Heterocope Borealis (HB) in the ecosystem of the Krasnoyarsk reservoir (KRE) are analyzed. The authors demonstrate that the most probable factor behind its introduction is the waterfowl, followed by the water transport and its ballast water, and the drifting from the secondary hydrologic system. It is highlighted that all of the natural systems have multiple backups. The role of the human in this process is a backup one, although its efficiency is relatively high.
