The main directions of modern reorganization and reconstruction of existing military-historical museums

The most of the existing in Russia museums do not meet the requirements for modern museums and are inferior to foreign counterparts in their information, technical and engineering equipment, in architectural and spatial maintenance. The reorganization of Russian military history museums is extremely important for the state in order to increase their attractiveness, patriotic education of young people, preserve and increase historical memory. In the course of this study, the main directions of the spatial reorganization of military-historical museums, formed on the basis of ground and underground military-historical objects and on the basis of the current museum building were identified. Spatial model-schemes are developed for each direction of reorganization and their typical features are determined. The results of the study can be useful in the practice of architectural reconstruction of existing military-historical museums and are also intended for comparative analysis of design solutions in order to objectively select the most appropriate conceptual solution.
