Zusammenfassung: | The aims of this study were to: 1) identify the prevalence of post-concussion clinical insomnia (PCCI) in children and adolescents diagnosed with concussion, and 2) ascertain what demographic characteristics and clinical indicators of concussion recovery are associated with PCCI in a paediatric cohort. A subgroup analysis of recovered participants was conducted to compare recovery duration between ISI groups. The subgroup analysis of recovered patients (n=113) revealed that participants with PCCI had a prolonged recovery duration, taking over 1 month longer to recover compared to participants without insomnia post-injury (mean recovery duration: 89 vs 57 days, p=0.004). |
