Zusammenfassung: | The construction professionals’ believed Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a way to improve the current construction practices more effectively and efficiently, specifically in applying Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR. 4.0) and during this pandemic situation. However, there is still uncertainty in relation to the interpretation of the successful BIM implementation in projects due to incompetent BIM personnel. Therefore, several models have used the maturity concept to evaluate the success of BIM implementation. This paper aims to conduct a narrative systematic literature review on the existing BIM maturity model that assesses the success of BIM implementation. The findings are expected to enrich an understanding of the current state of the BIM maturity model used to assist construction professionals in BIM implementation. However, the review shows that there is still a limitation of the BIM maturity model that could be used to improve current competencies as most of the model focuses on improving the use of BIM technology, client and facility managers’ perspectives. Hence, further research is needed to focus on the developing maturity model that could be used to ensure the competencies of construction professionals before they can be acknowledged and certified as BIM competence persons. |
