Zusammenfassung: | Social curiosity is defined as being interested in other people's behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. This study aims to determine the validity and reliability of a Turkish version of the Social Curiosity Scale (SCS) developed by Renner. The Turkish SCS was applied to 497 university students. The retest was carried out with 243 students. Construct validity was evaluated by factor analysis. Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega coefficients were examined to determine the internal consistency of the scale. The intraclass correlation coefficient was calculated for the test-retest reliability. Confirmatory factor analysis was applied to evaluate the degree of consistency of the factor structure. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that Turkish SCS offers a 2-factor structure. In factor analysis, the Kaiser-Meyer Olkin value of the dataset was found to be 0.786, and the p-value for Bartlett's test was |
