Zusammenfassung: | In In today’s era, there is a growing trend towards constructing taller and taller buildings using unconventional designs and construction methods. However, in order to meet the demands of structural stability and withstand lateral forces and overturning moments, certain characteristics must be present. While increasing the structural depth is a common solution to thisproblem, it can have its drawbacks as the building grows higher. To address this issue, an innovative idea of conjoining structures indirectly can increase the structural depth without actually increasing the section size, resulting in adequate stiffness and betterperformance than conventional solo towers. This relatively unexplored territory of conjoined structures requires further research to fully realize its potential, including exploring various configurations and geometries. This paper discusses the performance and benefits of conjoining structures using skylinks, based on a review of relevant literature. By utilizing this approach, it is possible to construct taller buildings with greater stability and structural integrity, while also providing opportunities for innovative and unconventional design solutions. |
