Zusammenfassung: | In this presented study, the synthesis of poly(HEMA-EH) cryogel, lysozyme immobilization, and bacteria removal efficiency of the immobilized system were described. For this, poly(HEMA-EH) cryogels were prepared by cryocopolymerization technique at sub-zero temperatures by using monomer HEMA and functional epoxy-bearing monomer of EH. Synthesized cryogel was characterized by FTIR, SEM, and an optical microscope. Maximum lysozyme loading was calculated as 43.56 mg/g cryogel. Kinetic parameters of free and immobilized lysozyme were also determined. Finally, the bactericidal effect of the immobilized lysozyme was studied toward model bacteria
