Zusammenfassung:Chlorine application only at source provides unequal allocation of residual chlorine at different places of water distribution networks. With the consideration of booster chlorination at some selected nodes of water distribution network, equal distribution of residual chlorine among nodes can be achieved. To determine chlorine residuals at nodes of water distribution network, EPANET-MATLAB-Toolkit is used for simulation period. Prime objective of the present study is using Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm and EPANET-MATLAB-Toolkit to obtain optimum dosage of chlorination at source and booster stations along with uniform distribution of residual chlorine levels at different locations of intermittent system of water supply distribution networks. For the implementation of model for intermittent system of supply, an example water distribution network and an existing water distribution network are considered. Pareto optimal solution is obtained for applied mass rate of chlorine at source and booster stations including residual chlorine uniformity among nodes for two water distribution networks which are having intermittent system of supply.
