Zusammenfassung:	A number of flaws of the scientometric ratings system have been identified. This paper notes a bureaucratization of the methodology for evaluating the efficiency of scientific activity, the costs for which are hunting for citations and the commercialization of pseudoscientific publications. The imperfection of the principles of calculating scientometric ratings, in particular the Hirsch index, is illustrated by a number of examples.
