Zusammenfassung:Nanocrystalline lead tungstate (PbWO4) samples were synthesized by surfactant assisted hydrothermal method with a view to incorporate them in polymer matrices for radiation detector applications. The synthesized nano materials were characterized by XRD for structure and phase purity. Energy band gap and optical constants were evaluated from UV/VIS/NIR absorption spectrum. FESEM with energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) was performed to elucidate the morphology and elemental composition.
