Zusammenfassung:In recent years, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has taken on a wide resonance in civil applications, including urban planning applications, due to the rapid increase in urbanization, as it has become necessary to use technologies that are easily updated with relatively low time and cost, and this is what UAVs provide according to the literature review and researchers’ experiences. Utilizing imagery information based on UAV can obtain dense point clouds by using specific algorithms to produce visual results such as digital surfaces model (DSM) or digital elevation model (DEM), contours, 3D models, vector information, and so on. This research reviews the literature about UAVs, their types, and applications, and evaluates the accuracy of the models produced based on them by comparing the models, using multiple software packages and different methods for data acquisition, and flight plans with different scenarios.
