Zusammenfassung: | Teachers in the twenty-first century have an uphill battle to keep up with the rapid advancement of information and communication technology. The function of the teacher in the twenty-first century is examined from three perspectives: teaching and administrative activities, personal self, and psychology. The purpose of this study is to examine students’ perceptions of future twenty-first-century teachers’ competencies. The research approach employed is a descriptive quantitative one, with a validated questionnaire as the instrument. Five components of a teacher’s personality competence are evaluated. According to the study’s findings, the following factors were found to be sufficient: 1) adhering to Indonesian national religious, legal, social, and cultural norms; 2) presenting oneself as an honest person, possessing noble character, and setting an example for students and the community; 3) presenting oneself as a steady, stable, mature, wise, and authoritative person; 4) demonstrating a work ethic, high resale value; and 5) demonstrating a work ethic, high res As a result, it is vital to build a learning model that may help prospective teachers gain a better knowledge of the 21st-century teacher candidates’ personality skills. |
