Zusammenfassung: | Nowadays, energy requirements have been rapidly growing due to increasing industrialization and population. The problems of population are also rising in the environment due to the growing population. One of the main causes to the environment is due to the diesel engines. They play a vital role in environment pollution. To overcome this rising pollution due to diesel engines and for the sake of future, many alternatives are getting sought these days. Nanoparticles play a major role in reducing the harmful emissions from the diesel engine. In this study, MgO nanoparticles are mixed with the diesel along with duel oils, namely jatropha and lemongrass oils. The MgO nanoparticles are prepared from a hydrothermal method in this process. The synthesized nanoparticles properties and characteristics are tested with FTIR testing and SEM testings. Finally, the whole characteristics of the modified diesel oil are monitored after mixing it in different proportions. The nanoparticles are mixed as 25PPM, 50PPM, 75PPM, 100PPM as four samples with each sample is having 80% of diesel + 10% of jatropha oil + 10% of lemongrass oil. The usage of biodiesel with MgO nanoparticles resulted in decreased HC, CO and carbon dioxide emissions when compared with pure diesel. |
