Zusammenfassung:A technique for measuring the interchannel distortions arising in fiber-optic communication lines with QAM/CD and IM/DID channels and a way to describe these distortions in the form of additive noise are proposed. Measurements based on the proposed technique are performed in a wide range of conditions, and an empirical model is elaborated to estimate the deterioration of coherent signal quality because of the effect of IM/DID channels.
