Zusammenfassung: | The number of Indian management institutes and departments exceeds 4000. Although technology has advanced significantly in recent years, digitization in Indian management education is still at a relatively early stage. There is tremendous potential for India to develop into a technology-based management education hub. This paper focuses on technology adoption in student assessment and is divided into two stages, where stage 1 discusses the major concepts and academic research on technology adoption in higher education. According to the literature, there are a number of ways in which digitization can be incorporated into educational systems. However, there is a significant gap between theory and implementation in Indian higher education. A second stage of the study involved extracting opinions from faculty and students of management institutions using text mining techniques in SPSS Modeler. Perceptions obtained from the qualitative study was used to develop concepts and themes. Students and faculty from Indian management institutions of national importance, as well as affiliated and autonomous institutions, were included in this study. The study revealed faculty and students perceptions of the challenges and benefits associated with digital and technology-based student assessment. The findings of this research will assist management and policy makers in addressing the inhibitions expressed by faculty and students before considering the digitization of student assessment processes These findings provide an opportunity to develop more efficient processes that are tailored to the needs of both faculty and students. |
