Zusammenfassung: | The difference is that these spooky stories involve the “monstrous” Jews, depicted as devilish beasts with horns, fish scales, and the ability to read minds. Under the Third Reich, the idea of a lost culture of supermen who subjugated the world and, more importantly, whose superior genetic stock was still present to this day, took hold and flourished in an environment of nationalistic zeal.1 The story of these lost descendants, known as the Aryans, would become so grandiose that some would even speculate that the Aryans were the survivors of the lost city of Atlantis. Much like a Golden Age comic book, it’s a morally simplistic tale with bad guys and good guys, designed to entertain and instruct the reader without a hint of nuance. |
