Zusammenfassung: | This study investigated students’ enrollments in Urban and Regional Planning (URP) programs in Nigerian universities. It also explored factors that influenced decisions about URP education. A total of 550 students from nine universities selected across the country participated in the survey. The research revealed that only 46 percent of students applied to study URP. It identified skills acquisition, interest, and career specialization as key factors that influenced students’ choices. Ignorance was identified as a major restraint for the choice of URP. The dominant factor that differentiated between students who chose URP and those that did not was the time of awareness. |
