Zusammenfassung: | Common thermal anemometers (hot-wire, hot-film, or similar) are based on the thermal equilibrium between the electrical power heating the sensor and the convection of the ambient medium cooling the sensor. The response times of such instruments are often insufficient in rapidly fluctuating flow processes due to the thermal inertia of their sensing elements. By using the instantaneous imbalance between the heating and the cooling power, which leads to a temperature gradient of the sensor, an instantaneous response of the measurement system can be achieved. |
