Zusammenfassung: | The number of motorized vehicles in the Jember Regency is around 770,000 units, 70-75% of which are 2-wheeled vehicles. This number will continue to grow, causing congestion on several roads in Jember Regency. Students in Jember Regency usually go to school using private or online vehicles. This occurrence can cause problems by changing the function of the road because there are many shuttle vehicles parked on the street, causing traffic jams, especially on Jawa Street and Mastrip Street. The results of the respondents’ data then analyzed to understand the demand and the distribution of students. The results of the passenger demand analysis were used to plan technical student transportation operations in the form of school buses. Based on the study, the level of ownership and use of private vehicles to school for motorbikes reached 80%. As many as 67% of junior and senior high school students who are in the areas of Letjend Panjaitan Street, Mastrip Street, and Jawa Street are willing to use student transportation with school buses. This study suggests a medium bus to accommodate the students’ trip to school. |
