Zusammenfassung: | In this study, three famous infiltration model were selected for comparative evaluation using the field data collected in National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India. For field measurements double-ring infiltrometer was used. The model parameters were evaluated using field observed data. The models were evaluated using statistical parameters. From the results, it was clear that Horton’s model performed better under different soils and soil conditions. Further, the Horton’s model parameters, rate of initial infiltration (RII) and rate of final infiltration (RFI), require field data. Multi Linear Regression (MLR) equations were developed to predict the RII and RFI using soil parameters as the inputs. The MLR equation was found working satisfactorily with good R2 of 0.86 and 0.93. |
