Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study was to knowthe different of mathematics thingking ability students' who taugh by using Contextual Teaching and Learningwith Conventional Method on the Geometry material. This research used quasy experimental research. The population are students of class X at (Islamic Senior High School) MAN 1 Medan, consistof 8 classes, whereas the sampled were taken from 2 classes. Grade X Science -6 as Conventional method and Grade X Science -8 as CTL Method. The instrument used pre-tests and post- test to determine students' learning achievement. The results indicate that there are different of mathematics thingking ability. Students whowere taught by Contextual Teaching and Learning Model got higher thingking ability than that of Conventional Model on the Geometry material.
